HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!! :)

Today is my hubby Steve's Birthday. I want to wish him a real good day. I won't say how old he is. Hehe. I think he just doesn't want to count them anymore. I can relate. We will go out tonight with friends for a little celebration.
Last night I worked with my co writer Natalie on a song we are desparately trying to finish for our songwriters cruise we will be going on in December. It won't be long until we have to have our songs in for the contest. I think it will be great once we are finished but there are just some lyric lines that just aren't gelling with the music. That is a toughy. More later.... Have a great day!

Summer is sailing by

It is hard to believe that summer is really flying by. It is nearly the end of July. My summer is pretty uneventful. I have just been working it away and doing things around the house. Getting Kirsty ready for college in a few weeks. She is so excited about that. She found out who her room mates were yesterday.

Still plugging away on some of my songs. It is such a long process. I have been bouncing ideas off of Steve. He is actually pretty good at the lyric thing if you give him an idea. I am impressed!

3 pounds down!

My first 6 days into Weight Watchers and I am 3 pounds lighter! Yahoo!! I think this method is going to really work. I am thrilled. I have a long ways to go but I intend to make it. I actually started dieting a couple of days before Weight Watchers and that is why I have the first 3 off. Can't wait to buy new clothes!!

Started Weight Watchers today

I took the plunge and signed up for Weight Watchers today. I have a goal to lose 34 pounds. It may take months to do it but I am bound and determined. I think it will be the hardest thing I have done in my life. Weight control is a very difficult thing to do and I admire anyone who can manage it well the older they get.

Today was such a beautiful day. The weather has cooled off just a bit to make it bearable. I have been out watering the lawn trying to get it greened up again. :) Soon the fair will be here and the smell of cotton candy and corn dogs in the air. Not on the Weight Watchers plan I am sure.

My cousin LeAnne is here visiting from Montana. I don't get to see her that often. Our mom's are sisters. It was so great to hang out with her for the day. We went to the mall and she picked out an awesome bikini. She has lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers since last Christmas. I am so proud of her. She looks fantastic. I hope I get the same results.

Natalie and I got more work done on the two songs we are working on. We are hoping to send them in for the songwriters cruise in December.

7-7-7 The lucky day!

It's the end of 7-7-7 and I am doing my post. This is suppose to be the luckiest day because of the date. Nothing spectacular happened to me but I would say it has been a real good day. Did anything lucky happen to you? I know there must have been alot of weddings today. Summer sure is flying by. Don't know where it is going. I hope you are enjoying yours!

Heard one of my favorite sounds today

As I stepped out of my car to go in and get my allergy shots today I heard the sounds of locus. I only hear it during July and August each year. I love the sound. I don't know why but it is the sweet sound of summer. I heard that sound many times growing up and it was always a good memory. Do you have any sounds or smells that bring back childhood memories?

I also got my first spray suntan tonight. My daughter bought a machine. Steve and I look pretty golden bronze in just one session. Pretty nice deal!
