What are you thankful for?

How was your Thanksgiving? I hope it was a beautiful one. There are so many things to be greatful for. Even though at times we feel like we don't have enough of this or that. Or we have ailments that bother us in our bodies. They do generally pale in comparison to what is really going on in this world. So many people homeless, starving and stuggling. Different areas that lose thousands of lives in a day due to natural disaster. It makes me feel incredibly guilty for complaining about my little aches and pains and fears. I know in my heart fear is NOT from God. I know we are not to live our lives that way. My dad has always given me great advice. He tells me to get off of myself and my problems and focus on someone else in need. All those things on my mind then melt away. It's so true.

So I am thankful for God, family, friends and good health. A beautiful place to live in a beautiful country! I never ever want to take these things for granted. They are a gift to be cherished!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving a day early!! For once I am ahead of schedule! Early is good too. I am home this morning watching the weather start to turn on us. I think we are going to get out first snow!! I could do without it. Snow is pretty for Christmas day only!! I just worry about people driving in it. It's so dangerous. I don't want to get trapped here before Natalie and I can get out of town for our cruise next week! Anyhow, Thanksgiving is tomorrow! Everyone have a good one! Eat lots of Turkey and get sleepy! Thats what it does for ya! haha! My favorite dish is always the Mashed potatoes!! Always!! I'm addicted!! Enjoy!!

Birthday Weekend!!!

I started off the weekend by getting a massage for myself. Boy did I need that. I have the beginnings of carpel tunnel syndrome with the work I do and I am thinking of cutting my workload or quitting the business all together. I can't stand the thought of not being able to play the piano. That would just kill me. We then went shopping. I really don't do it that often. Steve bought me some cool new jeans, sweater and Nike running shoes. He had already gotten me some equipment a couple months ago for recording. That was fun. Then we met our friends for dinner at the Latin King, one of my favorite restaurants. It is Italian. I had forgotten that we had gone there last year too. Ha! I must love it alot. Then we had our friends over to watch a movie. It was a pretty fun day.

MySpace going down!!!

Things are great! I decided to close my myspace down until further notice. I was spammed on too many times. It was really embarrassing for me. Somebody kept sending filthy things from my name. I just can't stand for that. It is just wrong. I would love to have a site but am afraid to take that chance again.

I am writing with alot of new people. A new fellow named Todd is working on some material with me. I look forward to what we will be coming up with. :) Ande Rasmussen and I finished a song we are preparing for American Idol. It's called "This dreamer and her dream". I am co writing with him and another gal on a new song called "Give me you". It is a pop duet! I think it will be great! I will be revamping this site. I keep saying that but this time I need to hire someone because Steve is just too busy to do it.

Fall is here

Well this is the time of year when I feel like seaonal depression hits. I do not like how dark it gets so early. It just gives me a down feeling. If you can imagine that. I know alot of people feel it. I just have to keep myself feeling up. Getting out during the daylight. Going to the tanning bed if need be. Luckily Natalie and I leave on our cruise to Cozumel in 3 weeks!! Man I just can't wait!! I need to get out of here.

I have gotten alot done this fall. I got about 12 songs written when I haven't written in 3 to 5 years. I just took some time off. Didn't feel like it. Now I feel like I have so much catching up to do. That's ok, there is a season for everything in our lives. :)

Went to see a musical tonight

My mom plays the piano for our high school choir. We went to see the musical "Into the woods" that she played the piano for tonight. I had never heard of that musical before. It was brand new for me to see. The kids did a pretty good job. I know I couldn't have stood up there and memorized all those lines. I do admire people that can do that.
